Vista support Yes, it does support Vista and you can still make your service interact with desktop despite the new Vista limitations.

Its a toss-up between this and FireDaemon. This might just be the preference. My only gripe is that "graceful shutdown" of my python program does not seem to trigger a python exception which my prog uses to try to dump volatile data before it exits. Same problem with FireDaemon.

A very quick test This was the first exe as service program I tried. Even I could figure out how to use, which is a big plus. As said, I have no experience of any other such program. However, the person who had asked me to check this had been able to do the job using Windows own tools. Judging from his description ServiceShell seems to be much easire.

Great download Does exactly what the product description states. I could have downloaded the Windows toolkit to run an EXE as a service, but this thing was quick and painless, no big download, and reading involved. Did the job I needed it to do and so far, very happy. Saved me a few hours of time!
Meh not working for me Did not work for my needs. Good features but would not work on server 2003. No support.
Good Product I absolutely recommend this high quality product.
